The split is now complete. The server software, DSNPd, handles encryption, establishing relationships, authentication and message delivery.
The frontend software, currently called SPP, acts as the 'user agent'. It allows content to be entered and displayed, and provides interpretion of the different types of messages.

As a part of my plan to someday finish this project, I'm splitting the
current implementation into two parts: the server and the frontend. The
goal is to strictly separate the two, starting with the databases. The
frontend is still called spp and the server is now called dsnpd.
frontend: http://svn.complang.org/spp/
server: http://svn.complang.org/dsnpd/
