I started looking at ragel as a tool for building a KMIP (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=kmip) parser. However I'm seeing differing opinions on whether ragel is a good tool for this job. So what's the consensus is it or isn't it? Or maybe it depends on the protocol like if it doesn't use bit fields?
